Stephen Quantrill

Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering), Bachelor of Commerce, and Master of Business Administration — all awarded with first class honours.

Fellow of FINSIA, Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and an Engineering Executive Member of Engineers Australia (Chartered Engineer).

Experience and expertise:

Having served as a Director since May 2014. Stephen has over 25 years of international experience in business ownership, company chairmanships, and directorships. His background spans public and private equity investments across the energy and natural resources sectors, as well as investment, financial and engineering services, property, and biotechnology.

Stephen is the former Executive Chairman of McRae Investments, a diversified investment holding company, and currently serves as a Director of ASX-listed Atomic Eagle.

Roppe Uyassi

CEO Papua New Guinea

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Economics (Economics and Finance), Certified Practising Accountant (PNG), and a CFA Institute member.

Experience and expertise:

Roppe is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in oil and gas, finance, and infrastructure sectors. Previously, Roppe has held senior leadership roles including Chief Operations Officer at Kina Bank and Director at First Investment Finance.

Earlier in his career, Roppe spent six years in corporate finance at Deloitte, specialising in valuations, M&A advisory, and financial modelling across Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific.

Roppe is recognised for his expertise in business strategy, project finance, and development initiatives in Papua New Guinea. He also contributes to cultural and economic programs, including serving on the Australian Incentive Fund Board.

Stefan White

Commercial Director

Qualifications:

Experience and expertise:

Stefan has served as a Director since October 2021 and brings over two decades of experience in advisory, investment, and executive leadership roles. His career spans project finance, private and public credit, investment banking, and corporate restructuring, with a strong regional focus on energy and commodity markets across Southeast Asia and Australia.

Dave Hazle

Project Director

Qualifications:

Masters in Engineering, Fellow of Engineers Australia. Chartered in 3 engineering disciplines.

Past Adjunct professor of Chemical Engineering at UQ, and Past Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at UWA’s Ocean Graduate School.

Experience and expertise:

Dave brings over 25 years of global experience in engineering and project execution, delivering complex energy and infrastructure projects across Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America. As Managing Director at Apogee, Dave is currently leading Twinza Oil’s FEED for the Pasca Project, which is PNG’s most significant offshore gas and liquids project.

Dave’s career spans senior leadership roles with major operators and contracting firms, including Shell and KBR, where he managed multi-billion-dollar ventures and negotiated high-value commercial agreements. His expertise covers project execution strategy, delivering complex projects, and building high-performance teams. Dave’s speciality is delivering real results in challenging environments.

Stuart Brown

Technical Director

Qualifications:

First-Class Honors Degree Petroleum Geology.

Experience and expertise:

Stuart has served as a Director since August 2020 and brings over 35 years of experience across technical, managerial, executive, and board-level roles within leading international oil and gas companies, including Woodside Petroleum and Shell. His career has spanned operations in Australia, the UK, Africa, and the Middle East, with a focus on strategic planning, international business development, and regional advisory in the energy sector.

Danny Gentili

Chief Financial and Operations Officer

Qualifications:

Master of Accounting (Global Business), Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Administration & Management), Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Certified Practising Accountant (Australia).

Experience and expertise:

Danny’s career spans more than 40 years, including 18 years in leadership role on the Ichthys LNG Project, where he served as General Manager Finance and held additional responsibilities as Acting CIO. He previously spent 14 years in senior positions at Woodside Energy, contributing to major international growth initiatives, and served as Commercial Manager at Komatsu Australia.

Combining strong financial acumen with proven capability in delivering large-scale projects and transformative business outcomes, Danny is a trusted leader guiding Twinza Oil’s financial and corporate services strategy.

Abby Macnish Niven

Company Secretary

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science degrees from UWA and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Experience and expertise:

Abby is an experienced finance and governance professional that has spent her career in a variety of investment roles within the private wealth management industry with groups such as TWD Australia, ANZ, UBS and Ord Minnett. Abby now consults to various companies, both listed and unlisted, in the areas of private wealth, governance, finance and corporate structure. Amongst her consulting roles, Abby is CFO & company secretary for several ASX-listed and unlisted companies, is an investment committee chair and also serves as treasurer of Neuromuscular WA.

Abby brings a strong track record in financial strategy, compliance, and governance, combined with deep experience in investment management and corporate advisory, making her a trusted advisor to boards and executive teams across multiple sectors.

Peter Kirkham

Project Services Manager

Experience and expertise:

Versatile and accomplished energy professional with over 25 years of global experience across exploration, development, and production. With a rare blend of technical and commercial expertise, Peter has consistently delivered innovative and practical solutions to complex oil and gas challenges, from frontier field development to corporate transactions.

Peter’s leadership spanned subsurface, facilities, and commercial disciplines, culminating in a landmark Gas Agreement with the PNG government in 2024 and the re-discovery and development of the Pasca A gas-condensate field.

Simon Newton

Experience and expertise:

Highly experienced energy executive and delivery manager with over 25 years of global experience spanning oil & gas, LNG, power, and infrastructure projects across EMEA and Asia. With a strong foundation in chemical engineering and business strategy, Simon has led the development and execution of more than 50 major projects, including two exceeding $1 billion in value.

With a rare blend of technical expertise, commercial insight, and strategic leadership, Simon continues to shape energy infrastructure with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and stakeholder value.
